Diversifying Revenue Streams for Major Influencers in Brazil and Mexico

In an ever-evolving digital landscape, influencers face challenges in fully monetizing their audiences across multiple platforms. In this case study, we highlight our partnership with 17 leading social media creators in Brazil and Mexico, focusing on how we helped them diversify their revenue streams.

 

Our detailed exploration centers on two major examples: Podpah, the biggest podcast in Brazil, and JonVlogs, a prominent lifestyle creator known for his engaging content. This initiative aimed to transform their YouTube content for success on Facebook, reaching new demographics and boosting both engagement and monetization.

The Challenge

Many top influencers, despite their vast followings, tend to rely on one primary platform - limiting growth and revenue potential. For these 17 creators, including Podpah and JonVlogs, several pressing challenges were evident:

Relying solely on YouTube meant that algorithm changes, content constraints, and a lack of adaptation to other platforms kept them from fully leveraging their digital presence.

High-quality content was not optimized for Facebook’s distinct audience. For example, video formats and clipping strategies that worked on YouTube did not resonate with Facebook viewers, leading to missed opportunities in revenue and engagement.

The Solution

Our strategy focused on repurposing and tailoring content across platforms, ensuring every creator's unique voice was preserved while adapting to the target audience. This involved a collaborative process that encompassed:

  • We performed an in-depth review of each creator’s content to identify pieces best suited for repurposing on Facebook. Special attention was given to context, tone, and the inherent value of the original material.

  • With a team primarily composed of Gen Z editors and local talent, we ensured that language translations and content edits were done by individuals who deeply understood both the technical aspects and the cultural nuances of engaging Facebook audiences.

  • Partner managers directed the overall content strategy and flow, while dedicated editors were assigned per creator. This structure ensured that every repurposed piece was finely tuned to resonate with the new target demographic.
